Interview Tips

Posted by Anonymous in

  • Be yourself. The goal of the interview is to get to know you.
  • Be on time. Plan on arriving 10–15 minutes early.
  • Be prepared to engage in conversation for about a half hour.
  • Wear appropriate clothing.
  • Be positive. Avoid saying “I hate ...”
  • Be ready to discuss your interests with enthusiasm.
  • Ask informed questions — research the school before arriving.
  • Maintain eye contact with your interviewer.
  • Avoid one word answers. Be prepared to elaborate.
  • It is ok to say “I don't know.” It is better to be honest than to make
    anything up.
  • Do not answer in the way you feel the interviewer “wants.” Again, be
    yourself.
  • Don't be nervous. It's just a conversation. And remember: it's all about
    YOU.
